Dimethoxytetramethyldisilane: overcoming the limitations of palladium-catalyzed C–H silacyclization of 2-iodobiphenyls

A readily accessible dimethoxytetramethyldisilane has been developed for overcoming the limitations of palladium-catalyzed C–H silacyclization of 2-iodobiphenyls, thus enabling divergent synthesis of dibenzooxadisilepines and dibenzosiloles.
