Design and Implementation of IoT-Based Manhole Management System
Urban drainage and sewage systems are vital for public health and environmental sustainability. However, traditional maintenance methods often struggle with the complexities of modern infrastructure, leading to inefficiencies and safety risks. This paper presents a novel IoT-Based Manhole Management System (MMS) designed to revolutionize infrastructure management through proactive monitoring and maintenance. The MMS employs a combination of sensor networks, wireless communication, and data analytics to provide real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities. The study also evaluates the use of electro-mechanical probes for effective manhole cleaning, emphasizing their ability to precisely remove obstructions and adapt to various cleaning scenarios. Experimental models and literature reviews confirm the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of these advanced strategies. By integrating IoT technology with electro-mechanical probes, the research offers a comprehensive, safer, and more efficient approach to urban drainage system maintenance, contributing to improved infrastructure management and sustainability.
