Reactions of a N‐Heterocyclic Carbene‐Stabilized Bromoiminoborane with Nucleophiles: Access to the Functionalized Lewis Base‐Stabilized Iminoboranes
As the isoelectronic congeners of imines, however, the structural diversity of Lewis base‐stabilized iminoboranes is much lower than that of imines, which indeed prohibits their use in coordination chemistry and catalysis. In this work, the reactions of a N‐heterocyclic carbene‐stabilized bromoiminoborane with alkali‐metal salts or grignard reagents are reported, which lead to the formation of a series of Lewis base‐stabilized amino, alkoxyl, phosphino, alkyl, and alkynyl substituted iminoboranes. This study demonstrates a facile synthetic route to access functionalized Lewis base‐stabilized iminoboranes.
