Imagerie d’une histiocytose osseuse non langerhansienne rare ou maladie d’Erdheim-Chester (MEC) : à propos d’un cas

Erdheim-Chester disease is a rare form of systemic non-Langerhans histiocytosis related to proliferation of foamy histiocytes. It was first described in 1930. Around 550 cases have been described worldwide. Bone pain is the main clinical sign in cases of bone localization. There has been a clear increase in incidence over the past ten years, linked in part to better knowledge of radiological semiology. This pathology is characterized by imaging signs allowing its diagnosis to be suggested. However, these aspects are described differently depending on the imaging means used. The definitive diagnosis remains anatomopathological, but can be evoked in view of the radiological aspect We report the case of a 25-year-old patient who presented with bone pain whose imaging exploration revealed aggressive bone gaps with soft tissue involvement confirmed as a ECM on histopathological examination.
