Cinsel tatmin amacıyla vajinaya yabancı cisim yerleştirilmesi sonucu oluşan büyük vezikovajinal fistü

In developing countries, vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) is most often associated with difficult labor, iatrogenic injury during cesarean delivery, and hysterectomy. However, VVF formation after insertion of a foreign object into the vagina is an extremely rare condition. We present the case of a 15-year-old girl who was sent to our clinic for fistula after the plastic shampoo cap was detected in the vagina at an external center and the cap was removed due to continuous urinary incontinence and foul-smelling vaginal discharge for 4–5 months. The patient, who had been performing this procedure on her vagina for 1–2 years for sexual satisfaction, could not remove the cap on her last attempt and the foreign object remained in the vagina for 9 months. Prolonged stuckness of a foreign object in the vagina is associated with the formation of VVF. Vesicovaginal fistula was repaired surgically. Keywords: vaginal foreign body, vesicovaginal fistula, child, plastic cap, sexual satisfaction
