A New Three-Port Electric Drive Reconfiguration Converter for Mobile Emergency Energy Storage Vehicle
Severe natural disasters and accidents expose the vulnerabilities of power systems, leading to an increasing demand for emergency power supply. The deployment of mobile emergency energy storage vehicles (MEESVs) is crucial for the rapid restoration of critical loads. Traditional MEESV contains only one dc or ac power port, which limits it to providing only single-port energy support for emergency power. In this article, a new three-port electric-drive-reconstructed onboard converter (TP-EDROC) is proposed and applied to MEESV. This scheme adds a dc port by integrating the electric-drive-reconstructed onboard converter (EDROC) and split-phase open-winding motors. The objective is to improve the reliability and flexibility of emergency power supply and allow for multiple ports of energy support to be provided simultaneously. This work primarily focuses on modeling the TP-EDROC topology, analyzing its stability, and designing an effective control method. Finally, the feasibility, flexibility, and effectiveness of the proposed topology are verified by experiment.
