Analysis of Hybrid PV and FC System with Boost Converter Using Intelligent MPPT Controller
A hybrid fuel cell (FC) and photovoltaic (PV) system that is augmented with a boost converter and an intelligent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller is examined in this study. Integrating PV and FC with an MPPT controller ensures optimal power extraction from both sources, even under varying environmental conditions. The use of a boost converter helps stabilize the output voltage, maximizing power delivery to the load. Intelligent MPPT techniques, such as hybrid P&O MPPT controller, dynamically adjust the converter’s duty cycle, improving efficiency and response to solar irradiance fluctuations. Simulation studies in MATLAB/Simulink demonstrate that this hybrid control approach improves power stability, minimizes oscillations, and adapts effectively to real-time variations. The proposed intelligent MPPT-driven hybrid system shows promise for high-efficiency applications, providing a reliable power supply with optimized energy management from renewable sources.
