Enhancing PV System Performance with Irradiance-Responsive Converter Optimization
The proposed research strategy aims to conduct a comprehensive investigation and optimization of power electronic devices utilized in the context of renewable energy applications, specifically focusing on solar and wind power systems. The primary objectives of this study encompass an in-depth analysis of the performance and efficiency of a diverse range of power electronics components, including converters, inverters, and controllers, with a specific focus on identifying areas with potential for enhancement. To achieve these objectives, advanced simulation software will be leveraged to develop sophisticated models and rigorously assess the operational characteristics of power electronics devices under varying conditions, accounting for parameters such as load fluctuations, temperature variations, and input voltage disparities. Furthermore, this research will intricately delve into the intricate interplay between different power semiconductor materials, device configurations, and control strategies, with the overarching goal of discerning their collective influence on the overall performance and efficiency of power electronics devices. The ultimate aspiration is to distil and propose the most promising design and control strategies capable of effecting substantial improvements in the efficiency and reliability of power electronics devices tailored for application in the realm of renewable energy.
