High Performance Rooftop Solar PV Arrays Design and Implementation for Maximised Renewable Energy Output
The global electricity demand and changing lifestyle have increased the electricity demand by 0.05 percent from 2023–2024. The global carbon footprint has also an adverse effect on the production of electrical power from classical sources like hydro power, thermal power, and nuclear power. The progress in semiconductor technology particularly solar cells has dragged the attention of power engineers to think about harvesting solar energy which is abundant in nature. In this research article, an attempt has been made to design and develop a rooftop solar power plant of 354kW peak. The present research work focuses on meeting the residential energy demand of the studied institution by generating solar-based power. The paper deals with strategic planning and development from the grassroot level to the final interconnection and pumping of power through the institution substation. The result and evidence present in this research work have been carried out by PVsyst software and HOMOR pro. The validation of the software model has been carried out with the actual 354kW setup in the studied institution.
