Theoretical Foundations Of The Study Of Socio-Psychological Mechanisms Of The Formation Of The Media Being Of The Individual

Introduction. The reality of the 21st century demonstrates the refinement of the line between material reality and virtual reality, which leads to the conditioning of a person and his interactions with the surrounding world by media technologies, the media become the main way through which a person perceives and experiences his experience. The objective reality produced by the media directs humanity to search for new adaptation skills, requires vigilance and the ability to maneuver between realities without losing its identity. Relevance and purpose. The dominance of the media dimension of human existence is increasingly deepening and expanding - and ultimately, dictates new focuses of scientific research and requires rethinking traditional concepts and developing new ones. The purpose of the study is to shed light on the dominant features of media existence, identified in the aspect of interdisciplinary scientific and research achievements, to shed light on the socio-communication and psychological threats that a person faces in the format of military everyday life. Methodology. The study used general logical methods: analysis - to identify the dominant features of the categories of “media existence” within a specific scientific discipline to express the consequences of the influence of the media, emphasized in the works of Western and domestic researchers, on the reality and existence of the contemporary; synthesis – to outline the semantic nodes of the interdisciplinary perspective of the study of the category of “media being”, and methods of empirical research: questionnaires and interviews, focus group method. Results. The dominant features of media being are identified and systematized. The socio-communication and psychological threats at the level of media being of a contemporary are characterized. An author’s questionnaire has been developed to identify the most frequent goals and preferences of adolescents regarding the use of information and communication technologies in conditions of martial law. Conclusions. The study proves that media being is becoming a significant form of individual existence due to a number of reasons: the strengthening of the role of new media in the everyday life of a contemporary; people create identity through profiles in social networks, and their lives are often evaluated through “media indicators”; information dependence; reality displacement; self-presentation as a form of being, etc.
