Gram-scale production of an Fe single atom catalyst and mass transfer enhancement in PEMFCs

A Fe-SA catalyst for the ORR in PEMFC is developed using a simple adsorption and annealing process. The large specific surface area (1450.7 m 2 g −1 ) and optimized MEA structure provide abundant active sites, leading to high PEMFC performance.
