Stabilization and Isolation Device for Skin and Wounds
Surgical wound complications are costly, life threatening and can affect demographics differently. Infections, interventions, and reopening are complications that contribute to these disparities between demographics. Here we show a device that addresses the shortcomings of current wound closure devices and techniques while adding stability over a longer period of time. The cost-effective manufacturing strategy will make this device accessible across different resource settings.
