Identifying Potential Break-ins with Acoustics
For this paper, this research investigates the utilization of acoustic signals to detect break-ins through doors and windows using MATLAB. By extracting meaningful features from door and window sounds and applying pattern recognition algorithms, the research effectively identifies potential break-in events. Key findings highlight a promising accuracy rate achieved with MATLAB in distinguishing between glass-breaking and door-breaking events. The objective is to enhance contemporary security systems with acoustic-based intrusion detection, while addressing challenges such as minimizing false alarms and audio integrity. This work provides valuable insights into the practical implementation of acoustic signal analysis for bolstering security measures.
