Implementation of 2HELPS2B Seizure Risk Score
Most critically ill patients had low or moderate seizure risk and, accordingly, a low incidence of seizures detected during cEEG. Implementing the 2HELPS2B seizure risk score allowed customization of cEEG duration for individual patients, applying the practice of precision medicine. This approach successfully improved cEEG utilization without compromising seizure detection. In conclusion, implementing seizure risk stratification can provide cost-effective monitoring and improve cEEG access.
