Single Point of Failure Assessment Case Study for Bulk Plant Electrical System Saudi Aramco
Single Point of Failure (SPoF) equipment is defined as any asset that if failed, it will cause an interruption on the entire facility or single product supply/receive operation. The study aims to present the result of the evaluation of all electrical equipment that meets the SPoF definition, evaluate the current available mitigation measures, and then provide recommendations as applicable to have Saudi Aramco facilities and systems robust, self-sustained, and reliable. Single Point of Failure Assessment is an assessment that was conducted in order to evaluate all electrical equipment that meet the SPoF definition, evaluate the current available mitigation measures, and then provide applicable recommendations to have facilities and systems robust, self-sustained, and reliable. In addition, a Single Point of Failure Assessment will be conducted in the future for the mechanical systems at Bulk Plant Facilities
