Ion-doped tungsten disulfide optoelectronic synaptic device for biomimetic vision system
The emerging optoelectronic neuromorphic device with photonic and electronic characteristics exhibits its great potential in the field of biomimetic vision systems, garners widespread attention from domestic and abroad researchers. In this study, we demonstrate a optoelectronic synapse device fabricated using Na+-doped tungsten disulfide (WS2) thin films(Na+@WSOSD). Benefiting from the Na+ defects within the WS2 lattice, the fabricated Na+@WSOSDexhibits non-volatile synaptic characteristic under light stimulation. By modulating the power density of light pulse, the Na+@WSOSD can achieve the transition from short-term memory (STM) to long-term memory (LTM). Additionally, Pavlov's dog experiment demonstrates that Na+@WSOSD exhibits the ability to simulate learning and memory behaviors in the brain.
