Mode deconvolved beamforming for a circular array near a cylindrical baffle
This paper proposes a mode deconvolved beamforming method for a circular array near the cylindrical baffle. This algorithm utilizes the model of the pressure field near the cylindrical baffle, and estimates the conventional beamforming beam power based on the circular array phase mode domain transformation. Then, we use the extended R-L iterative algorithm to perform deconvolution on the conventional beamforming beam power in the phase mode domain, thus obtaining the beam power of this algorithm. The research results indicate that the mode deconvolved beamforming algorithm adapted to the properties of acoustic field can achieve the effects of narrow main lobe, low side lobe, and high gain. The main lobe width and deconvolution gain are insensitive to incident frequency and mounting position. Moreover, it can improve the anti-strong interference ability of the array.
