Investimentos do agronegócio ao futebol brasileiro

The amounts raised by the football production chain are substantial, including revenues from sponsorships. This specific segment is directly related to the interest of fans-consumers, the visibility that the club achieves in sports competitions, and the growing relevance of the media and media outlets in the dissemination of specialized content. In this sense, this article aimed to identify which agribusiness representatives invested in sports sponsorship with the clubs competing in series A and B of the 2023 Brazilian Championship. Methodologically, the investigation used a bibliographic review and research on the websites of the 40 clubs participating in the two divisions of the national competition. The results pointed to diversified investments, coming from sectors ranging from the supply of agricultural inputs (pre-farm gate) to companies in the beverage, food, and marketing segments (post-farm gate). The data show that the contributions from agribusiness reflect the importance of this sector of the national economy and, at the same time, project opportunities for the dissemination of specific brands and all of these activities in the country.
