Secure energy-efficient beamforming design for integrated sensing and communication
This paper presents a secure energy efficient (EE) beamforming method for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems. Considering the physical layer security (PLS), the radar waveform is utilized to enhance beamforming capabilities while also serving as artificial noise (AN) to disrupt potential eavesdropping. The proposed joint beamforming design aims to optimize the communication-centric EE while ensuring quality of service (QoS) for legitimate users, limiting signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) for potential eavesdroppers and guaranteeing the beampattern gain. For this complicated problem, it is tackled through semidefinite relaxation (SDR) and successive convex approximation (SCA) methods. Then, we prove that the relaxation of SDR remains rigorously tight in our beamforming scheme. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method in guaranteeing the PLS.
