Psychologiczne kompetencje mediatorów. Wybrane aspekty twórczego myślenia w procesie wspomaganego rozwiązywania konfliktów

In recent years, Poland has seen a significant increase in interest in alternative methods of resolving conflicts and disputes, including mediation. This is unsurprising because if work on a conflict is treated as a creative process, during which parties arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution, this alternative to resolving the dispute in court becomes attractive. Assuming that in order to conduct mediation effectively the mediator’s personal predispositions are just as important as their knowledge or skills learnt at training courses, we analyze selected psychological competences of mediators, taking into account the particularities of the conflict resolution process in which they mediate. In this article, we stress the importance of creative thinking and behaviour in the mediation process, taking into account individual stages of the process.
