NEUROECONOMICS: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO UNDERSTANDING ECONOMIC DECISION-MAKING
The article discusses the main aspects of neuroeconomics as a new interdisciplinary field that combines economics, psychology and neurobiology to better understand human behaviour in economic decision-making. The article also presents the mechanisms that influence decision-making in various situations, including moral dilemmas and social norms. Neuroeconomics is presented as a promising field that contributes to more accurate and realistic models of behaviour that can extend traditional economic theories as well as overcome the limitations of behavioural economics. However, challenges facing neuroeconomics are also noted.
