Immunotherapy of cancer: are we already there?
Recent status in cell-based cancer therapy, humoral-based cancer therapy and cancer vaccines will be discussed in short; This will be followed by presentation of data in chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-therapy employing targeting moieties based on modified ERBB receptors’ ligands. The activity and efficacy of modified EGF-like domains derived from NRG1 (ligand to ErbB3 (HER3) receptor) and betacellulin (ligand to ErbB1 (EGFR) receptor) ligands as targeting moiety in CAR therapy will be presented.
