The fabrication of infrared anti-reflection surface on titanium alloy by femtosecond laser processing
In this study, micro-pit and microgroove anti-reflective structures were fabricated on the titanium alloy by general controllable femtosecond (fs) laser-direct-writing (LDW) strategies. Energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and temperature cycling test (TCT) results showed that the surface was oxidized and its thermostability was excellent. The improved anti-reflection performance was due to the combined effect of the scattering of rough surfaces and light trapping absorption property. An efficient light absorption was achieved in the infrared (IR) spectral band with a minimum average reflectance of 3.05%. The simple process can guide the practical application of IR anti-reflection functional surfaces.
