The Relationships of Small and Medium-sized Distribution Company Outsourcing Partner Company Capabilities, Partnership and Corporate Performance

This study analyzes the effects of outsourcing partner capabilities (organizational capabilities and product/service capabilities) on firm performance, as well as the mediating effect of partnership, among small and medium-sized retail companies. The survey was conducted in November 2024, and 453 valid responses were analyzed from the 460 collected questionnaires. Both organizational capabilities and product/service capabilities had a significant positive impact on partnership, and partnership was found to not only enhance firm performance but also mediate the relationship between the two capabilities and performance. In particular, product/service capabilities exerted a relatively greater influence, highlighting the importance of selecting partners with expertise and innovative capabilities. Furthermore, the process of forming and strengthening partnerships maximizes outsourcing performance, suggesting that small and medium-sized retail companies should focus on long-term collaboration and trust-building rather than merely reducing costs.
