Research on the Application of Public Design in Circular City Strategies : focusing on International Strategies
This study explores the role of public design within circular city strategies, which prioritize sustainable methodologies over consumption by establishing circular economy principles in urban networks. Beyond aesthetic considerations, public design can facilitate participation, interaction, and collaboration among various stakeholders. By analyzing international cases of circular city strategies from a public design perspective—focusing on accessibility, inclusivity, safety, and aesthetic value—this research aims to enhance the integration of circular city principles into urban environments. As a result, a framework for public design within circular cities is proposed, with the expectation that these strategies will be effectively implemented in domestic contexts.
