Model of Advanced Teacher Training in the Context of Education for Sustainable Development

In the context of globalisation and the challenges associated with it, addressing the ideas of sustainable development is currently becoming relevant. In turn, the ideas of sustainable development can be realised through education. The Concept of Sustainable Development notes that adults and youth should master knowledge and skills through education in order to promote the ideas of sustainable development in society. The author proposes the development of a model of advanced training of teachers at professional development courses in the context of sustainable development. It is argued that in anticipatory learning teachers should master the skills of a translator, a designer and an expert.
