Analysis of hemodynamic parameters of sublingual region in patients with various forms of ankyloglossia

The article is devoted to the analysis of regional hemodynamic parameters in patients with ankyloglossia before and after surgical and complex therapy of this pathology. During the study, patients were divided into three groups: control group, group 1 and group 2. The control group included patients with free parabola of hyoid space. Group 1 included patients with ankyloglossia of 2-3 degree according to the Kotlow classification who were treated with complex therapy. Group 2 consisted of patients with ankyloglossia of 2-3 degree according to the Kotlow classification for whom only frenulotomy was performed. Hemodynamic parameters of the microcirculatory channel were evaluated using ultrasonic Doppler ultrasonography at rest and during the Blanche functional test. In patients with ankyloglossia there is a decrease in the velocity of volume and linear blood flow, which negatively affects the blood supply of adjacent periodontal structures. As a result of the study, it was stated that in patients who received complex treatment (group 1) the regional hemodynamic parameters were close to those of the control group.
