Development and Application of Graphene EPS Technology in Assembled Thermal Insulation Structural System: A Case Study of China’s Severe Cold Regions
In this article, we first reviewed the development status quo at home and abroad and combined with the shortcomings of the current external wall energy‐saving thermal insulation system, for the unique geographic environment of the cold region. We adopted the modified graphene and styrene polymerization technology and successfully researched and developed an innovative graphene expandable polystyrene (EPS) resin building thermal insulation structural system. Through professional mold equipment, we processed and produced graphene EPS modules and their supporting components, constructing an innovative assembled building thermal insulation structural system. The system mainly solves the problem of the combination construction of the outer wall in the assembled graphene EPS module sandwich thermal insulation concrete structural system; at the same time, it also optimizes the overall connection of the combination components in the assembled building. After rigorous testing, the node structure of the key parts of the system meets the requirements of mechanics, seismic, and thermal insulation performance. The test results show that the strength of graphene module reaches 0.20 Mpa, the thermal conductivity of the module does not exceed 0.032 W/(m·k), and the heat transfer coefficient of the combined external wall is 0.164 W/(m 2 ·K). The energy saving rate of the building reaches up to 75%, the assembly rate of the actual project reaches 100%, and the prefabrication rate reaches 40%.
