The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Advancing Hospital Management Information Systems: Review Article
Abstract This review article looks into the critical function of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving hospital management information systems (HMIS). As healthcare systems become more complex, using AI technology provides an opportunity to simplify operations, enhance patient outcomes, and optimize resource management. The study delves into several AI applications in HMIS, including predictive analytics for patient care, natural language processing for efficient documentation, and machine learning algorithms to aid clinical decision-making. The review also addresses the challenges of implementing AI in healthcare settings, such as data privacy concerns, the need for interoperability among diverse systems, and the importance of training healthcare professionals to effectively use these technologies. The article illustrates the benefits and limits of AI integration in HMIS by providing a detailed synthesis of current literature and pertinent case examples. Finally, the findings show that, while AI has the potential to change hospital administration, careful consideration of ethical issues and strategic application is required to fully realize its benefits. This analysis is a valuable resource for healthcare managers and policymakers looking to use AI to improve hospital administration and patient outcomes.
