Clinical application and nursing progress of intradermal acupuncture in common internal medical diseases

ABSTRACT As an appropriate technique in Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing, intradermal acupuncture involves inserting a small needle into the skin at an acupoint or within the skin to treat diseases. This fully embodies the characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing techniques: simplicity, convenience, affordability, and effectiveness. Currently, intradermal acupuncture has been widely used in clinical practice. This paper introduces the history, mechanism of action, and principle of acupoint selection of intradermal acupuncture and summarizes the application of intradermal acupuncture in common internal medicine diseases to promote their dissemination and use.
