A Study of Attitude of the Teaching Profession among Bachelor of Education Student Teachers
It is often acknowledged that teaching is a fundamental component of educational institutions, influencing the attitudes and thoughts of coming generations. The dedication, efficacy, and lasting influence of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) student instructors are significantly influenced by their views toward their work. The teacher's optimistic outlook aids in creating a conducive, learner-friendly environment in the classroom. In addition, this has a positive impact on the children's learning. Being a social construct, attitude is impacted by a variety of characteristics, including age, gender, social class, educational background, and prior work experience. This paper's goals are to ascertain how different B.Ed. student strata feel about the teaching profession and to determine how these attitudes differ from one another. Three null hypotheses were formulated by the researcher. 220 B.Ed. students of rural and urban areas of Aligarh district of U.P. were taken as sample. Purposive sampling is the method used in this study for sample selection. Amethod to gauge attitudes about the teaching profession was created by researchers. The expert assessed the questionnaire's validity, and the study appropriately preserved its content validity. The reliability test-retest approach was used. Following data collection, the t-test was used to assess the hypotheses. All null hypotheses were rejected, so it could be said that there existed significant differences in stream-wise, locality-wise, and gender-wise among the B.Ed. students toward the teaching profession. .
