STUDYING THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE INFLUENCE OF PERSONALITY ON CAREER CHOICES AND JOB SATISFACTION
The research investigates how personality characteristics along with job satisfaction and age, gender, educational background and living setting determine professional career paths through quantitative methodology. A 35-participant survey based on diverse respondents utilized a pre-made questionnaire that assessed personality using Big Five traits and measured both job satisfaction through a modified Job Description Index (JDI) and career alignment. The reliability test included 35 participants in a pilot study where Cronbach’s alpha reached above 0.7. Job satisfaction emerged as the key predictor which shaped career pathway decisions among participants based on study results (p<0.001p < 0.001p<0.001). However, the tested demographic factors proved unimportant. Job satisfaction proves to be the main factor that influences career alignment through research findings which demonstrate its importance for better career development. The research findings advance career counselling methods and human resources practice through their emphasis on career-targeted internal factors while proposing satisfaction-oriented methods.
