Rapidly imparting chiroptical properties to an achiral azobenzene derivative using helical nanofibers composed of an amidoamine derivative with an unsaturated hydrocarbon
Abstract Chiral-controlled helical nanofibers composed of 12-hydroxystearic acid and long-chain amidoamine amphiphiles (OleylAA and C18AA) act as scaffolds for imparting chiroptical properties to an achiral azobenzene derivative (Azo). Substituting the amphiphile's stearyl group (C18AA) with an oleyl group (OleylAA) significantly accelerates Azo incorporation, achieving complete integration within minutes for OleylAA nanofibers, compared to 24 h for C18AA nanofibers.
