Analysis of the current state of stratigraphy, tectonics and operation of the South Caspian depression fields (for example of the Neft Dashlari field)

The Neft Dashlari is an asymmetric structure. It is expressed by an anticlinal fold extended in the Caucasian direction. According to the top of the Pre-Kirmaki suite (lower Pliocene) of the Productive Series (PS). It is 10 km in length and 4 km in width, and it is also complicated by two longitudinal, numerous latitudinal, and radial tectonic faults. The displacement amplitude of longitudinal faults is 200-350 m, while displacement amplitude of the latitudinal and radial faults changes from 10-60 m to 250-300 m, and in most cases, it is 40-150 m. As a result of the intersection of these faults, the fold is divided into 6 main blocks (I, Ia, II, III, IV, V), which, in turn, are divided into smaller tectonic areas. Forty-four productive oil layers were discovered in the geological section of the Neft Dashlari field. At present, the industrially significant residual oil reserves of these productive zones are concentrated in the upper and lower stage of the Productive series sediments. The residual recoverable oil reserves within the field amounted 21 million tons. Taking into account the unique features of the fields in the Absheron Peninsula (such as lithological heterogeneity of layers, large drainage capacity, etc.), proposals for improving the development systems and technologies of these fields, including Neft Dashlari, have been put forward. In order to achieve the highest oil recovery factor, the problem of the optimal well grid was studied. To intensify production and increase oil recovery, chemically treated water purified by different methods and was injected into the reservoir in blocks, including block V and its horizons. In order to determine the effectiveness of the water injection method and to clarify the geological and production indicators, development curves for the horizons of block V were drawn up and analyzed. The current state of oil recovery processes in fields operated by water injection in tectonic block V and its horizons it the Neft Dashlari field was investigated. Development curves will help regulate the water injection process and controlled the water cut in the wells.
