Blueberry muffin rash in neonatal leukaemia
A male infant presented with a midfacial nodule at birth, progressing to multiple violaceous papulonodules. Laboratory and imaging studies, including skin and bone marrow biopsies, led to the diagnosis of neonatal acute leukaemia. This case highlights the importance of early recognition of the ‘blueberry muffin’ rash, which can be associated with a variety of neonatal conditions, including leukaemia.
