A Wideband Circularly Polarized Magneto-Electric Dipole Antenna Array With Sequential Rotated Feeding For Wireless and Satellite Communication

A wideband circularly polarized (CP) magneto-electric (ME) dipole antenna array with a sequential rotated feeding (SRF) network for wireless and satellite communication is proposed in this paper. By sequentially rotating the sub-array and integrating with the SRF network, the impedance and axial ratio (AR) bandwidth are enhanced. The simulation overlapped bandwidth (|S<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">11</inf>|<-10 dB, AR<3dB) of the 4×4 antenna array is 57.4% (24.14-43.57 GHz) with a peak realized gain of 17.2 dBic. With excellent performance of wideband and stable realized gain, the proposed CP antenna array is a suitable candidate for wireless and satellite communication.
