Millimeter-Wave Curved Cylindrical Waveguide Sensor for Early Detection of Melanoma
This paper explores using RFID sensing technology to monitor soft skin moisture, enhance skincare routines, and improve health management. The proposed sensor features a curved cylindrical Teflon or Rogers AD 600 core coated with copper film, with a segment removed to create a sensing section. An analysis of the sensor's electric field response and power flow on the skin reveals significant differences in transmitted wave values between dry skin and melanoma in the 76 GHz to 80 GHz range, enabling precise detection of skin moisture levels.
