Cefepime-Induced Hepatotoxicity – Case Report
Abstract Cefepime, a fourth-generation cephalosporin, exhibits a broad spectrum of activity against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Although neurotoxicity and nephrotoxicity are known adverse effects of cefepime, instances of elevated liver enzymes are infrequently reported. We describe the case of a 79-year-old female with cefepime-induced hepatotoxicity.
