OPTIMIZATION OF GEAR HONING BY CHANGING THE PARAMETERS OF SPECIFIC SLIDING WHEN TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE DEFORMATION OF TOOL TEETH
Tools – abrasive and diamond gear hones – are used for finishing the side surfaces of hardened wheel teeth by the rolling method. Toothed hones are made also on elastic rubber bonds. The teeth of such hones are deformed under load during operation. The magnitude of deformation of a tooth of the chon depends on the position of the contact point in its height, from the lower contact point to the top it increases tens of times. The amount of deformation of the chon tooth depends on the position of the contact point along its height, from the lower contact point to the apex it increases significantly. The bending component of the deformation is predominant. Due to the mobility of the chon teeth in the process of running-in relative to the wheel teeth, as a result of elastic deformation of the former, the contact points are displaced, the calculated values of the center distance, the length of the meshing line, the radii of curvature, the pressure angles of the profiles are changed, and the values of specific sliding in the contact are changed. It is shown that the distribution of specific slip along the height of the wheel teeth is somewhat equalized. Due to the comparability of deformation values, errors and metal removal from the surfaces of wheel teeth, it should influence the efficiency of tool operation. The criteria for gear honing optimization are proposed, which estimate the level of productivity, tool wear and machining accuracy by the ratio of specific slip values. It allows to take into account the influence of elastic deformations at calculation of geometrical parameters of hones, planning of results of gear honing.
