Signs of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities: theoretical study of legal aspects and practical approaches
The article is dedicated to the theoretical study of the main features of rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, particularly its legal regulation, as well as the analysis of existing approaches to defining these features in national and international legislative acts. Since the effectiveness of rehabilitation processes largely depends on the clear identification of the main features, these elements form the foundation for creating a legal framework that ensures the accessibility of rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities. Additionally, the article addresses the social and psychological aspects that significantly impact the integration of persons with disabilities into society, particularly through access to educational, social, and medical services. The article places special emphasis on the importance of individualizing rehabilitation programs for each person with a disability, which ensures that their specific needs, capabilities, and limitations are taken into account. It also highlights the necessity of continuity and comprehensiveness in rehabilitation measures, including medical, psychological, social, and professional support. The article further examines the importance of the legal protection aspect of rehabilitation, guaranteeing persons with disabilities the right to dignified treatment, confidentiality, and access to rehabilitation services, which, according to international standards, should be available to all citizens. Specifically, the paper discusses a number of key features of rehabilitation, such as labor rehabilitation, professional training and retraining, adaptation of workplaces and working conditions, as well as social rehabilitation, which includes the development of social skills and the adaptation of persons with disabilities to normal life in society. Special attention is given to psychological rehabilitation, which helps persons with disabilities adapt to new living conditions, overcome stress, depression, and social isolation. The authors cited in the article emphasize the importance of a systematic approach to the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, which includes not only medical and social assistance but also professional training, psychological support, and ensuring equal opportunities in the labor market.
