Real-time System of Student Attendance Based on YOLO
Student attendance is a part of the regular academic performance of some college students, and attendance rate is also an important indicator for evaluating teaching quality. The commonly used traditional methods such as roll call, swiping student cards, distance check-in, and gesture check-in all have some problems, such as low efficiency, student attendance fraud, inability to keep real-time statistics, and students leaving after attendance. Real time and accurate calculation of student attendance has become an urgent demand for some universities and teachers. In recent years, models such as face detection and recognition in object detection have been widely used in scenarios such as liveness detection, crowd counting, and security authentication. This article will design and implement a real-time student attendance counting system, using the popular face detection algorithm YOLO as the core technology, aiming to solve the problems encountered by the current attendance system mentioned above.
