A Non-invasive AI Oral Health Monitoring System: A Solution for Elderly Oral Health in Remote Areas

As global populations age, oral health concerns have become a significant health issue, especially among the elderly and those in remote areas with limited access to healthcare resources. This study proposes a non-invasive oral health monitoring system integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and voice recognition technologies to assess key indicators, including tongue coating, dental plaque, oral motor function, and oral dryness. The system allows users to conduct self-assessments at home via mobile devices, offering real-time diagnosis and reducing barriers to oral health management in underserved communities. Initial experiments show the system demonstrates high accuracy and reliability in detecting oral health issues, validating the feasibility and effectiveness of non-invasive monitoring.
