Bottlenecks and improvement strategies for digital transformation in manufacturing
This paper explores the main bottlenecks faced by the manufacturing industry in the process of digital transformation as well as improving strategies. The bottlenecks include inventory management problems, insufficient work standardization, lack of visual management, error-proofing devices, and safety protection measures that small and medium-sized enterprises often face. This study proposes short-term, medium-term, and long-term improvement strategies. This article demonstrates the implementation effects of various improvement strategies by introducing the practical case of Company Y, collecting and organizing on-site data, and then analyzing value stream mapping. At the same time, it also proposes suggestions for future research.
