Design and Implementation of Low-Power Electronic Information Communication Protocol for the Internet of Things
This paper addresses the energy consumption issues in IoT applications by designing a low-power communication protocol. The protocol employs a four-layer architecture, which includes key technologies such as power control at the physical layer, dynamic sleep/wake mechanisms at the MAC layer, energy-aware routing at the network layer, and data compression at the application layer. Through cross-layer optimization design, a collaborative energy-saving mechanism is achieved across the protocol layers. The main innovations of the protocol lie in the dynamic duty cycle sleep/wake mechanism, hybrid data compression scheme, and energy-aware routing algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in key performance indicators, such as energy consumption, latency, and throughput, compared to traditional protocols. Under scenarios involving network scale expansion and environmental interference, the protocol exhibits good adaptability, providing effective technical support for lowpower designs in the IoT.
