A Novel and Accessible Approach to Laparoscopic Cord Management
INTRODUCTION: Laparoscopic cord management is cumbersome and impedes the flow of surgery. OBJECTIVE: This video describes a technique to manage camera, light, and instrument cords during operative procedures. METHODS: The intubation stylet is used to form a hook from which the surgeon can hang the laparoscopic cords from the surgical light. RESULTS: N/A. CONCLUSIONS: An intubation stylet is an affordable and ubiquitous tool that can be used to manage cords in laparoscopic surgery and increase efficiency.
