Red de maestras y maestros STEM + transforma: una estrategia que impulsa la educación para el siglo XXI

The STEM + Transforma Teachers Network became a scenario for the pedagogical empowerment of participating teachers. With the objective of promoting collective actions to strengthen the construction of knowledge in teaching and learning processes from the STEM approach, during the period 2021-2023, this initiative consolidated a teaching community that contributed to the pedagogical transformation in Bogota. Methodologically, it was based on the principles of knowledge management proposed by Minakata. This methodology generated various initiatives designed to support and strengthen key aspects of the collective, from governance processes to pedagogical and dissemination strategies. Accordingly, the dynamization of the Network led to the creation of a governance model that facilitated the internal organization of the collective and promoted the construction of strategies from its six study nodes. These strategies were focused on generating collective self-management and impacting district classrooms, linking STEM education with educational contexts and with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as Health and Well-Being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Climate Action. This process marked the beginning of a collective dedicated to strengthening learning environments from the STEM educational approach, highlighting the importance of collaboration among teachers to generate pedagogical innovations and educational advances that respond dynamically and in line with the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
