OPTIMIZATION OF 3D PRINTING PARAMETERS FOR LATTICE STRUCTURES USING TAGUCHI METHOD
This study investigates the optimization of printing parameters for 3D-printed lattice structures, with a focus on maximizing their rigidity. Novel centered lattices were manufactured using fused deposition modeling (FDM), and a comprehensive experimental approach was employed to identify the optimal printing configurations. A total of nine samples were printed by varying three key parameters: printing speed, layer thickness, and nozzle temperature. The orthogonal Taguchi method was used to select the combinations of parameters, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed to develop an empirical model predictive of the compressive modulus and elastic limit. The results demonstrate the significant influence of the printing parameters on the mechanical performance of the lattice structures and highlight the optimal printing configurations for achieving maximum rigidity. The strong correlation between experimental values and model predictions validates the adopted approach, contributing to a deeper understanding of the effects of printing parameters on lattice structure performance.
