A novel voltammetric sensor based on a polyornithine film-incorporated gold nanoparticle modified electrode for the determination of ractopamine

A polyornithine (Porn) film-incorporated gold nanoparticle modified glass carbon electrode (AuNPs/Porn/GCE) was prepared by electrochemical cyclic voltammetry (CV). The electrode has a good electrocatalytic effect on the electrochemical oxidation of ractopamine (RAC). The electrochemical behavior of RAC on the AuNPs/Porn/GCE was investigated by CV or differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and a new electrochemical method for RAC detection was established in pH 6.0 phosphate buffer solution (Na 2 HPO 4 -NaH 2 PO 4 ). There was a good linear relationship between the oxidation peak current of RAC and its concentration in the range of 4.00 × 10 −8 ∼ 1.50 × 10 −6 mol/L. The correlation coefficient (R) was 0.9970, and the detection limit was 1.50 × 10 −9 mol/L. The RAC content in beef and pork samples was detected with the modified electrode, and the recovery rate was 97.2∼102.5 %, indicating that the electrode has application potential for RAC detection in actual samples. Abstract
