Methods Totally 130 nurse anesthetists in Jiangsu province were selected, and surveyed using a general data questionnaire, the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) and the nurse's professional identity scale. Results The total score of self-efficacy and professional identity were(28. 15±5. 11) and (115. 33±19. 56), showing a positive correlation between them(P<0. 01). Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that, after controlling for demographic data, the self-efficacy could explain 23. 2% of the variation in professional identity. Conclusion Hospital managers should improve the self-efficacy of nurse anesthetists, so as to improve the level of professional identity.
