Mulberry antioxidant properties: A natural aid for combating chronic diseases

The bioactive substances found in mulberries (Morus species), including phenolic acids, flavonoids, and anthocyanins, are well-known for their strong antioxidant capabilities. These substances aid in the fight against oxidative stress, a major contributor to the emergence of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurological disorders. The advantages of mulberries in lowering oxidative damage, inflammation, and risk factors for chronic diseases are highlighted in this review. According to studies, mulberries have cardioprotective and neuroprotective benefits in addition to antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic qualities.
